Exploring future opportunities through evidence and collaboration
Access to medical treatment is essential, but adequate nutrition can also play an important role in nutritional care during serious illnesses and recovery.
Drawing on our experience in India and our understanding of challenges in other regions, we recognise a critical concern, even when patients receive medical treatment through government programmes, hospitals, NGOs and other agencies, maintaining adequate nutrition during treatmentand particularly after discharge, can remain a significant challenge.
For low-income families, especially households dependent on a single earning member, the cost of suitable and nutritious food can place an additional financial burden on the entire family. Limited access to appropriate, affordable nutritional foods can make it even more difficult to maintain adequate nutritional support when it is needed most.
We aim to help bridge this gap.
In specialised nutrition and food manufacturing, NutriWin is interested in reseching and develop safe, affordable and practical nutritional products for people with increased nutritional needs, including those affected by tuberculosis (TB), cancer and HIV. Our potential contribution includes ingredient and process evaluation, technical feasibility, inputs in product and manufacturing development, quality systems and scale-up planning.
We aim to work collaboratively with nutrition expert, clinical and research professionals, policymakers and programme agencies to ensure that proposed solutions are appropriate, evidence-informed and responsive to the needs of patients and their families.
Our ambition is to help make appropriate nutritional support more accessible and affordable, particularly for underserved communities. By bringing together nutrition knowledge, technical expertise and collaborative research, we hope to help translate sound evidence into practical, cost-effective and sustainable solutions that complement medical care.
